Upgrades

You can upgrade to the newest version whenever you want. But some versions are critical, and MUST be installed.

To determine your current version, start Tick-Talk-Clock. It is displayed in your Initial Status message box.

Find your version number in the table below, and see if you MUST upgrade.

Look at any newer versions above yours and decide if you WANT to upgrade.

  • You can adjust the size of the digital timer. It can be HUGE.
  • Town Hall mode - no reports. Stays on the Running tab. The "Go!" button cycles through "GO!", to "STOP", to "RESET", back to "GO!"
  • Easier script editing - highlighted fields, tabbing, etc. handled properly.
  • Script rows do not move around when the time becomes out of order. Rows must still be sorted when you are done editing, but don't have to STAY sorted while you are editing. And there is a SORT button.
  • Better demo. A floating window changes size and location as needed.
  • BugFix: Switching to the Setup tab then back to the Running tab stopped the clock.
  • BugFix: Counting down works again.
1.03   Initial Beta release

Instructions

  1. You must uninstall the older version.
    Go to Control Panel, Add / Remove Software, and remove Tick-Talk-Clock

  2. Download the newest setup file. Here's your link:
        /www.Tick-Talk-Clock.com/download/Setup 0106.msi

  3. As before, you want to run this file, although your browser might make you save it first. Depending on your security settings, you might be warned about an "unknown publisher".

    NOT as before, if you had to install the ".Net Framework", you won't have to reinstall it.

You can be enabled or disabled. This procedure will preserve your enabled state, your nickname, your speech log, and any speech profiles you created.
