The World's BEST Speech Timer!

Tick-Talk-Clock is a computer program that runs on any Windows PC (XP or later).

You may download and install a copy and run it under FREE TRIAL mode for as long as you like. In this mode, only one speech profile will run. The ability to modify this default speech profile, as well as the abilities to load other speech profiles and write and save your own speech profiles is restricted.

A speech profile contains the parameters of a speech. It defines whether the timer will count up or down, the target range of the speech (say, from five to seven minutes), whether the big digital timer display should be used, and a script, which defines when the different lights should come on and when different sound files (if any) should be played.

You may purchase a REGISTRATION ID. Follow the link on Tick-Talk-Clock's registration tab or at the foot of these web pages to our order page, which will take you to PayPal, our preferred credit card processor. We will not see your credit card or bank information. A REGISTRATION ID entitles you to run Tick-Talk-Clock as long as you like with no additional fees. Bug fixes may be made available to you at no additional charge, but there may be an additional charge to upgrade to a newer major version with additional features.

Enter this REGISTRATION ID on Tick-Talk-Clock's registration tab, and Tick-Talk-Clock will become ENABLED. The FREE TRIAL mode restrictions are lifted. You will be able to modify our default speech profile, load our other speech profiles, modify them and save your changes, and write and save your own speech profiles.

A REGISTRATION ID may only be used for one organization (a speech club, a municipality, a school district, a condominium board, etc.), although it can be moved from one PC to another. For example, if a particular member of a speech club is designated as the official timer, Tick-Talk-Clock can be installed on that member's laptop PC, and will be available at most meetings. But if that member must miss a meeting, Tick-Talk-Clock can be temporarily transferred to another PC for that meeting, then transferred back to the official timer's PC when it becomes available again.

To transfer a REGISTRATION ID from one PC to another (let's refer to them as the primary PC and the alternate PC):

  1. First, Tick-Talk-Clock must be downloaded and installed on both computers.
  2. Then, Tick-Talk-Clock must be DISABLED on the primary PC. While online, click the "DISABLE" button on the registration tab. The speech log (a database of all recorded speeches) is uploaded to the server, and the server notes that this REGISTRATION ID is not in use on any PC. While DISABLED, Tick-Talk-Clock will not run on the primary PC. You can no longer time new speeches on the primary PC because the speech log no longer resides on this PC.
  3. Then, with the alternate PC online, provide your REGISTRATION ID and click the "ENABLE" button or the "REGISTER" button on the registration tab. The speech log is downloaded to the newly active alternate PC, which can now be used to time new speeches. The server notes that this REGISTRATION ID is in use again.
  4. To transfer Tick-Talk-Clock back to the primary PC, DISABLE it on the alternate PC, then ENABLE it on the primary PC.

A REGISTRATION ID can be in use on only one PC at a time. Efforts to circumvent this rule (say, by backing up and restoring configuration files and running only offline) will be detected, and will result in your REGISTRATION ID being permanently disabled on all PC's, with no refund of the registration fee.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied in any way and would like a refund, simply DISABLE Tick-Talk-Clock and request a refund via our contact page. No refunds will be given if Tick-Talk-Clock is still ENABLED on any PC.
