The World's BEST Speech Timer! |
|
This page tries to show what the speaker sees during a speech.
Web pages don't do it justice. You really should try the free trial and see the real thing.
First, we'll try to show the impact of the full-screen display.
Below, you can play with the sounds that we provide.
Before you see a full-screen display, you should see what many speech timers provide. This one, Copyright (C) 2001 Stan Birdwell, is typical.
Speakers are supposed to make eye contact with people in all corners of the room, and may look down at their notes from time to time. It's possible to miss an event.
Why do so many programmers use three circles? Because red, yellow, and green suggest a traffic light?
This timer is what the author needed, and it gave him what he wanted. But does it give YOU what YOU want???
Tick-Talk-Clock uses a full-screen display. You can see it out of the corner of your eye.
In fact, if your meeting is in a conference room that is equipped with a huge projection
screen,
a full-screen display can actually change the ambiant color of the room! Imagine!
Speakers might actually see the color of the lights with their BACKS TURNED TO IT!
The big digital display is an option.
Even if the big timer is hidden, you can still see the time in the title bar. It's so tiny that the speaker can't see it.
Notice the other menu items:
A FLASHING full-screen display is even more eye-grabbing! It CANNOT be ignored!
Add sounds that NOBODY can ignore! We provide more than a dozen bells and buzzers that you can play at any script event, and you can add your own. Tick-Talk-Clock can play most WAV files.
Of course, all this is optional, since Tick-Talk-Clock is completely programmable.

There are TOO many browsers out there. Firefox, for example, won't play sound unless
you install an add-on. This is too much trouble when it's so easy to take the FREE
TRIAL and play with the real thing.
