The World's BEST Speech Timer! |
|
Tick-Talk-Clock generates the Timer's Report, which can be read at the end of the meeting.
Here's a sample report:

As you can see, your timer (the person) can read directly from this report.
"Actual" is the actual length of the speech.
If the speech ended anywhere in the target range, the Variance is zero, and the Performance was "Perfect."
Otherwise, "Variance" shows how far outside the target range the actual time was, and the Performance was "Long" or "Short".
Performance also shows the color of the light when the speech ended. In the typical 5 to 7 minute speech profile shown on the previous screen, if the speaker ends at these Actual Times, you will see these Performance values:
| Actual Time | Performance Value | Interpretation |
| 4:30 | Short - Off | WAY early! |
| 5:30 | Perfect - Green | On the early side of the target range |
| 6:30 | Perfect - Yellow | Still in target range, but the end is nigh |
| 7:30 | Long - Red | Long, but wrapped it up in the grace period. |
| 8:30 | Long - Flash | Long, and well past the grace period. |
Tick-Talk-Clock saves the results of each timed speech in a log file.
You can select "All Dates" and a particular person and produce a personal history of all their speeches over time.
You can export the entire log to Excel or to your word processor.
There, you can purge old data, correct name spellings, delete members who have quit, etc.
Then you can import the revised log back into Tick-Talk-Clock.
